Chinese Car Industry

The car industry has been hard hit in the recent times due to the global economic recession. Demand from consumers has gone down drastically, which has led to a reduction in production. Many companies had to close down their operations and laying off some of the workers in a bid to survive the economic turbulence. The impact of this is less brands in the market.

The car industry in China has grown fast in the recent times ( eg look at Tata Motors).  Not just manufacturing but car insurance comparison websites, accessories, cheap car rental and associated business.  Amongst the car makers, by the year 2009, the yearly output was above 13.79 million. This growth has made China become among the top car producers in the world today. However, it is worth noting that some of the major parts that include axes guide, thrust washers, bearing bushes and car mold standards usually rely on imports that have opened major doors and challenges to the Chinese firms that deal in bearings and the manufacture of car molds.

Presently, the bearing manufacturing technology that is being used in China today concentrates more on energy and material saving other than the previous method of bearing manufacturing. It needs less investment in terms of the materials used and hence this lowers the costs further making is perfect for development. China is currently using different kinds of bearing classifications that are made from copper and steel alloys. Examples of these kinds of bearings include the sliding, bushing, and thrust, special and sliding bearings that are fitted with lubrication that are solid.

The use of the copper and steel alloy materials is currently at one hundred percent. The manufacturing procedure of the sliding bearings have changed from the style of rough shaping of the material elimination to a net shaped kind of procedure that has enhanced efficiency, low cost and light weight. The process of net shaping assists in comparing cars with respect to saving materials and also energy in a bid to provide the accessories of the sliding bearing for the development of the china car industry.

The car mold industry is also referred to as the mother of the car industry. The mold industry can be described as the mark that is used to measure the car development level and even the car industry. Even after the car industry had developed for many years, the China mold technology and its capabilities has not yet made impressive progress. It still remains behind among the world’s car manufacturing concerns. Statistics has shown that ninety percent of the car molds are not manufactured in China with the biggest share of the luxury auto molds being imported from other countries.
